“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” -Albert Einstein
Megan is from South Africa. She studied Law, Psychology, Business and ended up focusing on events, planner and online/ offline customer experiences- Go figure!
Out of Office was born after a three-month sabbatical in South America in 2017. I left a busy, high pressure but exciting job in the online marketing world, that I loved, because of a nagging feeling that there had to be something more. With no idea what that looked like, and zero expectations, out on a limb... I found it.
What was ‘it’? Adventure. People. Smiling faces. Plain and simply back to basics. Minimal distractions. One suitcase. No planned agenda and no valuables, my rings off my fingers and designer bags in storage. It was just me, my laptop and a bunch of strangers speaking another language. This was living. Out on a limb.
You are probably thinking this is everything an events planner should NOT be. I thought that too, I won’t lie. After returning home, my organised and practical self, came back. But suddenly that Megan had to share her space with the Megan I met and embraced while on my adventures. After the experiences I had, and insights gained from the lessons life put in front of me, I realised that the two had to co-exist. That this antithesis could be the defining and differentiating factor that make my events that much more unique, relevant and memorable.
Adventures and Thoughts.

You know when you play a song and it takes you back somewhere? You can close your eyes and return to that moment… Whether good or bad…
